豆市松人形 目 Tiny Ichimatsu Doll Eyes

豆市松人形の目についてです。
I'm going to talk about the eyes for my tiny ichimatsu dolls.

まず、厚紙に目を描き切り抜きます。これで白目と黒目の比率を確認しながら描いていくのです。
First, draw the eye on a thick paper and cut it out. Use this to check the size of the iris of the eye and also check the ratio of the iris and the white part.

次に元の薄いガラスに描かれた黒目の塗料を落とします。墨だったみたいで、水で綺麗に落ちました。
Next, wipe off the paint on the thin glass eyes. It was easily came off with a Q-tip soaked water, I guess it was a kind of water-based ink.

厚紙の裏にマスキングテープを貼ってガラスの目を固定して描きます。この作業中に一つ目をなくしてしまいました（後日見つけました）ので、すぐに代わりの目を注文したのです。
Put masking tape on the back of the thick paper and fix glass eye plate and draw pupil and iris. I lost one glass eye plate in this procedure (I found it later), so I bought new glass eyes immediately after the incident.

それがこれです。４ミリの球体ガラスの目、茶色です。小さいのにとても綺麗です。
This is it. 4mm round glass eyes, brown. They are so tiny but beautifully made, I am so impressed.

解説をチャーミーに手伝ってもらうことにしました。
I asked Charmy to help me explaining about this eyes.

全体的な大きさはちょうどいいのですが、黒目部分が大きすぎるのが気になります。
The overall size of the eye is good but I think the size of the iris is too big for the doll.

私が描いた黒目はこんな感じになりました。小さすぎて綺麗な円が描けませんが、一応瞳孔は黒、虹彩は茶色になっています。
These are the eyes I draw the iris on. Since it is way too small, it was impossible for me to draw perfect circles; however I made the pupil black and iris brown.

このように黒目の大きさが２倍以上違います。これでは色々と予定が狂ってしまいます。新しい目は綺麗なんですがねぇ。元の薄いガラスに上手に黒目が描ければ問題ないのですが。ちょっと悩んでいます。
In this way, the size of the iris differs more than double. If I use new one, it will mess the entire plan, though they are pretty and beautiful. I know there will be no problem if I can draw nicely but... I need to think about this again.

編みぐるみ うさぎの赤ちゃん Amigurumi Baby Bunny

市松人形のボディを作る作業の合間にうさぎの赤ちゃんの編みぐるみを作りました。
I made a baby bunny amigurumi while I was working on the body of ichimatsu boy.

うさぎの赤ちゃんはとても小さくて、手のひらにのるくらいです。
Baby bunny is very small and  is about the size of the palm.

小さいシッポもちゃんとついています。ひっくり返された時の手足がとても可愛いのです。
Baby has a tiny tail. I love their legs when they are turned over.

全体的に小さく、耳も短く、あどけない表情になるようにしました。
I made him/her small in general, ears shorter, and innocent facial expression.

どの角度から撮ったら可愛いか模索中。
Trying to find the best angle.

やはりちょっと下から見た角度が可愛いですね。
I think this angle is the best, from the lower angle.

市松人形 男の子 Ichimatsu boy doll

実は先日臨時収入がありまして、かねてから気になっていた市松人形を購入することにしました。待つこと１週間、無事に人形が届きました。
I had a special (extraordinary) income so I decided to buy the Ichimatsu boy doll I have been paying attention to. I waited for a week and received it in a good condition.

可愛〜い男の子のいちまさんです。着物と羽織がとても素敵なのです。お顔もとても可愛いです。
He is very pretty ichimatsu boy. His kimono and haori look so beautiful. And of course, his face is cute cute without doubt.

比較的最近作られた子ですが、表情は過去と現代の中間のような、とても素晴らしいものであります。
He is made relatively recently but his facial expression is somewhat a mixture of past and modern creation, very interesting and wonderful.

ふっくらしたお顔がとても魅力的です。ボディが見事にウレタンだったので、新しいボディを作ってお座り出来るようにします。すでに解体済みで頭だけになっています。昨日はボディの型の発泡スチロールを削り出しましたので、今日はそれに粘土をまきつける予定です。
His chubby face is very attractive. His body was made of urethane foam so I am going to make a new body and make him able to sit down. I already took him to pieces and his head is sitting on the counter. I made a new body's mold with styrene foam yesterday, so I am going to cover it with stone clay today.

編みぐるみ ミニリアルネザーランド・ドワーフ Amigurumi Mini Real Netherland Dwarf

先日のミニリアルホーランドロップと同じ毛糸でネザーランド・ドワーフを編むとどんなだろう？と思って早速編んでみました。
I was wondering how it would be if I make a Netheland dwarf amigurumi with the yarn I used for mini real Holland lop I made the other day. So I tried.

で、出来上がったのですが、とても可愛いです！目はロップと同じ赤にしてみました。
And this is it. Very cute! I made eyes red just like mini real Holland lop.

２匹並べてみました。首には赤いリボンも巻いていますが、その上から友達から貰った伊右衛門のお茶についていたガーゼハンカチをつけたらとても可愛くなったので、そのまま写真を撮りました。可愛いギャングっぽい。
There goes two bunnies. I tied red ribbon around their neck but they look prettier with those scarves (they were free addition of Japanese tea and present from my friend), so I left them as they are and took pictures. I think they look like cute gangs (hope they don't play a trick).

どちらも個性的で可愛いです。
They seem to have a very strong personalities.

ネザーの方は竹模様、ロップの方は渦巻き模様、蚊取り線香みたいです。
Netherland dwarf's scarf is bamboo pattern, Holland lop's scarf is spiral pattern.

後ろ姿もなかなか。
They look pretty from the back, too.

編みぐるみ ミニリアルホーランドロップ Amigurumi Mini Real Holland lop

豆いちまさん達の新しい目も無事に届きました。待っている間に、以前買ってまだ使ってなかったモコモコ毛糸を使って小さいホーランドロップを作ってみました。顔はリアル系、体は編みネザと同じデフォルメです。
I received new eyes for my tiny ichimatsu dolls. While I was waiting, I made mini Holland lop bunny amigurumi with the yarn I haven't used since I bought it. The face looks real like the one I made the other day, and the body is the same as amigurumi Sebastian.

こんなのが出来ました。毛糸の編み目がよく見えなかったので、編み図通りの形にならなかったのですが、これもとても可愛いので気に入っています。
And this is what I made. This yarn has many tiny loops (it is almost like a towel) and those loops made it difficult to see stitches. So I had to crochet as I thought right and got what you see in the picture above. It looks so cute and I love it.

この角度から見るととても可愛いです。目は赤くしてみました。
I like the face looked from this angle, so cute. I made eyes red.

後ろから見た時の耳の位置も可愛いです。手先の形も編みネザの編み図を改良しています。
The ear position is perfect (I think), very pretty. There is a minor change in crochet pattern of the hands.

可愛いシッポとX脚の足。たまたま出来たんですけど本当に可愛いです。
Lovely tail and X-shaped legs. They were made without expectation but really adorable.

豆市松人形 顔 Tiny ichimatsu dolls ~face repair~

豆市松人形の修理ですが、左京くんの片目をなくしてしまい、作業が滞っていました。オークションで代わりの目を購入したら、今日になって見つかりました。代わりの目の方が綺麗ならそちらを使ってみようかと思います。
About the repair of tiny ichimatsu dolls: it was completely delayed because I lost Sakyo-kun's eye. I bought  new glass eyes (they are so tiny, only 4mm) but I found it today! If new glass eyes are better than old eyes, then I'm going to use new one.

顔はここまで出来ています。両耳を作り、顔を左右対称に粘土を盛りつけました。これから目をはめて、更に造形を整えていきます。
Their faces are made this far. I made both ears, and made their faces bilateral symmetry with stone clay. I need to put their eyes and then do further works.

後ろから。耳の形が違います。
From their back: their ear shapes are different.

どんな顔になるでしょうね？

編みぐるみ モコモコ垂れ耳うさぎ 完成 Amigurumi Holland Lop bunny

時間がかかりましたがモコモコ垂れ耳うさぎが完成しました。
I finally finished amigurumi Holland lop.

顔がリアルなので胴体や手足もリアルを目指したのですが、おかげで時間がかかってしまいました。
Since the face is so realistic, I wanted to make the body and legs look real too. It took time because of it.

斜め横から。どうでしょう、リアルに見えますでしょうか？
From diagonal angle. Does she look real?

ボディの綿を少なめにしているので、体を曲げたり伸ばしたり出来ます。バランスをとるとこのように立ち上がりポーズも可能。ほ〜れ、ニンジンだよ〜。
I put less stuffing in the body, which makes it capable of bending and stretching the body. She can stand like this if she is well-balanced. Jump and get the carrot!

横になったり。。。

俯せになったり出来ます。
She can lies on her face.

セバスチャンと記念撮影しようと思ったのですが、どうにもポーズを決めてくれませんでした。そのうちまたリベンジしようと思います。
I really wanted to take a picture of amigurumi and Sebastian, but he was so restless and wasn't in the mood of photo shooting. Well, next time.
