市松人形カスタム Ichimatsu boy doll customize 下半身 Lower body

 

上半身が落ち着いてきたので下半身にも手を加えていきます。

アキラ君の下半身です。

お腹はぽっこりと子供らしくします。

バランスよく座れるように、脚の切り口もまっすぐに整えます。

Now I am working on ichimatsu boy doll's lower body.

Since he is sill a young boy, I made his belly chubby.

Legs' cut ends are made flat so that he can sit without falling down.

中の発泡スチロール芯をはずしたばかりですので

まだ表面がでこぼこです。

This is right after I took out the styrene foam core

from the clay so the surface is still very rough.

I need to even the surface lightly then symmetrize.

お尻です。

そろそろ画像にモザイクが必要になるんじゃないかと

そっちのことが気になってきました。

Hips.

I'm kind of worried that I might be going to need to put 

some mosaic on thesepictures as working process steps forward 

and the body becoming more real.

エコたわし 葡萄 Dishcloth Grape

久しぶりにエコたわしを編んでみました。葡萄です。無料で公開されている編み図で作りました。
I made the dishcloth with acrylic yarn after a long interval. It's a grape. Free crochet pattern I found on the internet on the other day.

立体的で本物の葡萄のように見えますが、実は平面です（でこぼこしてますけど）。画像は裏面です。
It looks solid real grape, I mean three-dimentional, but it is actually flat as you can see. The picture above is the reverse side of the grape.

うさぎの赤ちゃんの背中に背負わせると、亀の甲羅のように見えます。葡萄仙人です。
It looks like a turtle-shell on the back of the baby bunny.

編みぐるみ ホーランドロップうさぎの赤ちゃん完成 Amigurumi Lop Baby Bunny Completed

ゆっくりと編んでいたホーランドロップの赤ちゃんうさぎが完成しました。
The Holland Lop baby bunny I was crocheting very slowly finally completed.

「はなせ！」と暴れてるようにも見えます。元気一杯な子です。
It looks like the baby is struggling "Let me go!". Very energetic one.

ニンジンも編んであげました。前に作ったネザーランド・ドワーフの赤ちゃんうさぎと並べてみました。
I made carrots for the babies and let him/her sit next to the Netherland dwarf baby I made the other day.

何やらお話しているように見えます。
They look like they are talking.

２匹ともあどけない顔をしていてとても可愛いです。
They both have innocent look and so cute.

同じ毛糸から作られた３匹のうさぎです。
Three bunnies made out of the same yarn.

かぎ編み 十字架のモチーフおくるみ Crochet cross motif baby blanket

ハートのモチーフのおくるみが分厚すぎてうさぎの赤ちゃんのおくるみに適さなかったので編み直しました。今度はお気に入りの十字架のモチーフを繋げてみました。青と白の毛糸でとても爽やかで柔らかいです。
I made the baby blanket for the baby bunny over again since the heart motif one was too thick for the baby blanket. This time, with my favorite cross motif. It looks so fresh with blue and white yarn and is very soft.

早速包んでみました。モチーフの隙間が結構大きくておくるみには適さない気がしなくもないですが、大きさはちょうどいいようですので、これに包んで送ることにします。
So, I wrapped it around the baby bunny. The openings in the motif are kind of large and it might not be good for the baby blanket but overall size is just about it so I will send this with bunny to my friend.

編みぐるみ ホーランドロップうさぎの赤ちゃん Amigurumi Lop Baby Bunny

以前作ったネザーランドドワーフの赤ちゃんの編みぐるみに続き、垂れ耳（ロップイヤー）のうさぎの赤ちゃんの編みぐるみを作っています。この子は知り合いの画家さんのところに貰われていきます。頭だけが出来上がっていて、この体は毛糸の玉です。
Followed by the Netherland dwarf baby bunny amigurumi I made the other day, I'm making Holland lop baby bunny amigurumi now. This baby is going to be send to my painter friend in Japan. So far, the head completed. The body in the picture above is a yarn ball.

小さいので毛糸の厚みで耳がきちんと垂れてくれるか心配でしたが大丈夫でした。この写真からは見えませんが、耳の内側はちゃんとピンクに色替えしてあります。
I was afraid that these tiny ears might not hand down as I wished since the yarn used was very thick but they came out really nicely. You cannot see it in the picture but I changed the color of inner ear.

口元拡大。ネザーの赤ちゃんと微妙に違いがあります。早く完成させて２匹を並べて写真を撮りたいです。
Details around mouth: There are some minor differences between Netherland dwarf baby and this Holland lop baby. I can't wait to take pictures of them sitting together.

市松人形カスタム Ichimatsu boy doll customize 上半身２ Upper body２

上半身がほぼ完成です。後は首を入れる穴を開けたり、塗りをしたりします。
Upper body is almost completed. All I need to do next is, to make a hall to insert neck  and paint.

肩甲骨も作りました。市松人形のボディは球体関節人形に比べるとかなりシンプルに作られているので、これくらいのディテールが限界かと思われます。
I made shoulder blades. I think Ichimatsu dolls have much more simplified figures compared to ball jointed dolls, so I guess this is the limit of adding details.

着々と出来ていく新しいボディに微笑みの戻ってきたアキラ君。次は下半身と足です。手はまだ考え中。
It seems like his smile came back to his face with the new body that is steadily approaching to its completion. The lower body and legs are coming next. I'm still thinking what to do with hands.

市松人形カスタム Ichimatsu boy doll customize 上半身 Upper body

市松人形のアキラ君の上半身を作っています。発泡スチロールで芯を作り、それに石粉粘土を巻き付け、芯を抜き、軽くやすりがけして均しました。
I am working for my Ichimatsu boy doll Akira-kun's upper body. I made the core with styrene foam, wrapped it with stone clay, pulled the core out from it, and then roughly filed the surface even.

中は空洞です。乾燥によるひび割れを内側も外側もよく練った粘土で埋めていきます。
It's hollow inside. I filled cracks caused by the process of drying with well-knead stone clay inside and outside.

粘土を盛って左右対称にしていきます。
Make it symmetrical with clay.

かぎ編み ハートのモチーフ Heart motif crochet

アキラ君のボディ作りの合間にかぎ編みのハートモチーフを作りました。チョコレート色とキャラメル色をハートにし、縁取りはクリームみたいなので、ミントグリーン・コーヒー色・苺ピンク・ミルク色にしてみました。ハートの中にスマイル顔があるみたいで可愛いのです（左上に顔を描いてみました）。
I made this heart motif crochet small blanket while I am working on Akira-kun's body. I used chocolate and caramel color for the heart and since its edge looks like a cream decoration, I used mint green, coffee, strawberry pink, and milk color for it. It seems there is a smile face inside of the heart (I draw a face on the upper left one).

日本にいる友達に送ることにした赤ちゃんうさぎのおくるみにしたかったのです。でも使った毛糸がアクリル毛糸で肌触りがゴワッとしてるので、一緒に送るかどうか悩んでいます。
I decided to send this baby bunny to my friend in Japan so I wanted to make it a baby blanket for the bunny. But I used acrylic yarns and it feels tough lol, not for baby, so I am now thinking whether I should send this or not.

それになんだか裏面の方がシンプルで可愛いような気もしてきたのです。。。
And I somehow noticed that the back of the motif looks prettier...

可愛くないですか？
Isn't it?

でもやっぱり表のハートも可愛いなぁ。リバーシブルということにすればいいかな？
Hmm, but the front heart motif is cute too. Let's say, it's reversible.

市松人形カスタム Ichimatsu boy doll customize 解体 To pieces

先日、市松人形の男の子を購入した話をしました。半年前に初めて見た時から勝手に「アキラ君」と名前を付けていました。見事なおかっぱがヒカルの碁のアキラ君みたいだったからです。そのアキラ君、届いた日にチェックするとボディが見事なまでにウレタン！このままではお座りも出来ない。ということで、ボディを作ることにしました。球体関節ではなくちゃんとした市松人形スタイルのボディです。
On the other day, I talked about new ichimatsu boy doll I purchased. It was a half year ago when I first saw him on the internet that I named him "Akira-kun" because his hair style looks similar to the one of Akira-kun from Hikaru no go. Anyway, I checked him and found that most of his body is made of urethane foam as I expected. I wanted him to be able to at least sit down so I decided to make him a new body with stone clay. This time, not ball-jointed but traditional ichimatsu body.

届いたその日に解体を開始しました。まずは土台と人形を離します。アキラ君を引っ張って土台からはずしました。こんなに深く芯があり、足は本当に足首から下だけしかありませんでした。しかも足は足袋の形に成型されたもので中は空洞、柔らかいプラスチック。
So I started to take him to pieces on the day I received him. First, I needed to separate the doll and the stand. I pulled Akira-kun and he came off. There are two thick and long wires and his legs are just feet, no legs (I hope you understand what I mean). His feet were made of soft plastic-like material (hollow inside) and shaped like wearing tabi-socks on.

袴、着物、お腰という層になっているのが見えます。
You can see his kimono layers, hakama, kimono, and okoshi.

羽織と袴を脱がせました。着物は袷かな？単衣かな？帯は正面の見える場所に端切れを貼付けている程度でした。
I took off his haori and hakama. I wonder his kimono is whether awase or hitoe? His obi was a small piece of fabric glued on the part only where it can be seen from the front.

何故襦袢ではなくお腰と書いたかというと、着物の振りから襦袢らしき袖が一切見られなかったのと、この通り、めくってみると本当に裾部分の布しかなかったからです。しかもこれ糊でウレタンに貼付けられていました。
The reason why I called it okoshi, not juban is because I didn't see juban sleeve from the furi (open slit of kimono sleeve) of kimono and as you can see, this fabric covers only the skirt part! And it is glued on the urethane body.

丸裸のアキラ君。典型的な現代量産市松人形です。
Akira-kun all naked. This is a typical mass produced modern ichimatsu doll.

手もウレタンからはずしました。これもソフトプラスチックで出来てるみたいで、中は空洞です。それにしてもぷくぷくしてて可愛い手です。
I took off his hands from the urethane foam. They seem to be made of soft plastic like feet, hollow inside. I really like this hands, they are chubby and looks exactly like child's, so cute.

そして最後に頭をボディからはずしました。こちらにも太い針金がはいっていました。頭はどうやら石膏で出来ているようで、頭だけとても重いのです。アキラ君は鼻の頭に胡粉がはげた傷が小さくありますが、これは頭の重さでバランスをくずして倒れた時についた傷でしょう。胡粉を塗り直すにしても、石膏の顔なので修復が難しそうなので、今回は顔はいじらないことにします。それにしても来たその日に首だけにされるなんて、アキラ君も想像だにしなかったでしょうね。急いで体作るね！
And at last, I separated his head from the body. They are connected with thick wire and thick layers of glue. His head is made of plaster and that made his head soooo heavy. Akira-kun has a tiny scratch on the top of his nose. I guess he got it when he fell down losing his balance due to its weight. At this point, I don't have enough knowledge of working with plaster so I am not going to fix his scratch. Leaving all those things aside, I thought Akira-kun would never have imagined that he would have become only head on the day he arrived at new home. I will make his body as soon as possible!

豆市松人形 目 Tiny Ichimatsu Doll Eyes

豆市松人形の目についてです。
I'm going to talk about the eyes for my tiny ichimatsu dolls.

まず、厚紙に目を描き切り抜きます。これで白目と黒目の比率を確認しながら描いていくのです。
First, draw the eye on a thick paper and cut it out. Use this to check the size of the iris of the eye and also check the ratio of the iris and the white part.

次に元の薄いガラスに描かれた黒目の塗料を落とします。墨だったみたいで、水で綺麗に落ちました。
Next, wipe off the paint on the thin glass eyes. It was easily came off with a Q-tip soaked water, I guess it was a kind of water-based ink.

厚紙の裏にマスキングテープを貼ってガラスの目を固定して描きます。この作業中に一つ目をなくしてしまいました（後日見つけました）ので、すぐに代わりの目を注文したのです。
Put masking tape on the back of the thick paper and fix glass eye plate and draw pupil and iris. I lost one glass eye plate in this procedure (I found it later), so I bought new glass eyes immediately after the incident.

それがこれです。４ミリの球体ガラスの目、茶色です。小さいのにとても綺麗です。
This is it. 4mm round glass eyes, brown. They are so tiny but beautifully made, I am so impressed.

解説をチャーミーに手伝ってもらうことにしました。
I asked Charmy to help me explaining about this eyes.

全体的な大きさはちょうどいいのですが、黒目部分が大きすぎるのが気になります。
The overall size of the eye is good but I think the size of the iris is too big for the doll.

私が描いた黒目はこんな感じになりました。小さすぎて綺麗な円が描けませんが、一応瞳孔は黒、虹彩は茶色になっています。
These are the eyes I draw the iris on. Since it is way too small, it was impossible for me to draw perfect circles; however I made the pupil black and iris brown.

このように黒目の大きさが２倍以上違います。これでは色々と予定が狂ってしまいます。新しい目は綺麗なんですがねぇ。元の薄いガラスに上手に黒目が描ければ問題ないのですが。ちょっと悩んでいます。
In this way, the size of the iris differs more than double. If I use new one, it will mess the entire plan, though they are pretty and beautiful. I know there will be no problem if I can draw nicely but... I need to think about this again.

Charmy, thank you for helping me out. I gave him some mochi as a reward.

あ、寝転がって！お行儀が悪いです。

編みぐるみ うさぎの赤ちゃん Amigurumi Baby Bunny

市松人形のボディを作る作業の合間にうさぎの赤ちゃんの編みぐるみを作りました。
I made a baby bunny amigurumi while I was working on the body of ichimatsu boy.

うさぎの赤ちゃんはとても小さくて、手のひらにのるくらいです。
Baby bunny is very small and  is about the size of the palm.

小さいシッポもちゃんとついています。ひっくり返された時の手足がとても可愛いのです。
Baby has a tiny tail. I love their legs when they are turned over.

全体的に小さく、耳も短く、あどけない表情になるようにしました。
I made him/her small in general, ears shorter, and innocent facial expression.

どの角度から撮ったら可愛いか模索中。
Trying to find the best angle.

やはりちょっと下から見た角度が可愛いですね。
I think this angle is the best, from the lower angle.
