編み物 ドミノ編み Crochet Domino motif

以前編んでいたドミノ編みのモチーフが

まだ完成してないのに

新たにまた始めてしまいました。

以前のもまだ諦めた訳ではないのですが

こちらの方が先に終わりそうです。

途中でくじけないように

数を数えてくれるアシスタントを用意しました。

I started new domino motif crochet project

even though I haven't finished the old one yet.

I am not given up the old one

but I think this one will be done before that.

I prepared a assistance who is going to count

the number of motif 

so that I don't get bored and throw away.

ちなみに２日間で編んだ枚数は

編み物 模様編みのレッグウォーマー完成 Knitting Leg warmers with some pattern stitches completed

やっとレッグウォーマーが完成しました。

これでたくさんの編み方を習得しました。

Finally the leg warmers I have been working for long completed.

I learned many types of stitches in order to knit these.

早速次の課題の手袋を編み始めました。

レッグウォーマーのおかげかすいすい編めます。

I have already started next project, gloves.

I feel it's somehow easy, thanks to the leg warmers.

編み物 カシミアの毛糸 Knitting Cashmere yarn

ついにカシミア１００％の毛糸をゲットしました！

カシミア１００％の毛糸はなかなか店舗では見つかりません。

（混合はあるのですが）。

そして太さも色も選択の幅が少なく感じました。

私がこの毛糸を購入したオンラインのお店は

色も太さも種類も豊富で、お値段もとても親切設定でした。

これで手袋を編む予定です。

人生初の手袋、ちゃんと出来るかな？

I finally bought cashmere 100% yarn!

It is hard to find a store where carries 100% cashmere yarns.

(you can find cashmere blend yarns easily but not 100%).

I found there are a few varieties of colors and sizes.

I got this yarn in the picture at online yarn shop

that has lots of colors, sizes, and kinds (types) of

cashmere yarns, and the prices are very friendly!

I am going to knit gloves with this yarn.

It is going to be the first gloves in my life

I wonder I will be able to complete.

とてもご機嫌斜めのセバスチャンです。

今日はこの季節にしては珍しい吹雪になっていますので

気圧の変化でイラッとしてるのでしょうか？

Sebastian is in a bad mood today.

It is a snow blizzard here in NY today

which is relatively unusual for this season of the year.

Maybe the pressure change is bothering him?

編みぐるみ リアル赤ちゃんうさぎ Amigurumi Real Baby Bunnies

私の場合、あみぐるみは大抵頭から作り始めます。

In my case, I make amigurumi head first.

顔を作る時はちょっと緊張します。

I'm a little nervous when I make their face.

どこから見ても可愛いのが理想ですが

とりわけ可愛い角度を発見すると嬉しくなります。

It is an ideal that amigurumi look cute everywhere

but I 'd be happy when I find a particularly cute angle.

これといって決まった編み図はなく

毎回改良を重ねるようにしています。

I don't have final version of the amigurumi pattern.

I always try adding something new.

この子達を作った時にはボディのデザインに悩みました。

シルエットを重視すればするほど各パーツは

リアルから遠のいていきます。

I had a hard time making their body shape and posing.

The more you put emphasis on their silhouette

the less real every parts of their body become.

後ろ姿は出来るだけシンプルにしたかったのですが

ちらりと見える腕が邪魔をして気になりました。

I wanted to keep their back simple but

their front legs showing by the side bothered.

編みぐるみ ピープス・バニー Amigurumi Peeps Bunny

ずっとチャレンジしたいと思っていて手をつけていなかった

ピープスのうさぎの編みぐるみです。

まだ気になる箇所がいくつかありますが

一応完成しましたので生クリームやカップケーキと

一緒に並べて写真を撮ってみました。

何かの儀式のように見えなくもありません。

This is the amigurumi "peeps bunny"

that I have been longing to challenge.

I think I still need to work on its pattern

but let's say it is completed for the time being.

I took pictures with whipped creams and cupcake.

It looks like some kind of ritual.

ピープスってとてもシンプルな形をしているのに

作るのがとても難しかった、というか

特徴をとらえた形状にするのが

実に難しいようです。

顔のパーツの配置とか顔の形、お腹の膨らみが

次の課題です。

Peeps are very simple form

but yet, it was very difficult to make

or perhaps I should say it is very difficult

to create something which has captured

the distinctive features of them.

Next challenge will be the facial parts

shape of the face, and the thickness of the belly.

編みぐるみ カップケーキ開発中 Amigurumi Cupcake in progress

編みぐるみのカップケーキです。

まだ試行錯誤しています。

This is amigurumi cupcake.

It is still in progress.

カップの底と側面はそれほど難しくもなかったのですが

縁のギザギザの広がり具合が少し大変でした。

上のアイシングも絞り模様に気を取られていましたが

もう少しシンプルにしないと

量産するのが非常に面倒くさくなりそうです。

Making the bottom and side part of the cup

was not hard but the top edge was.

I put so much effort on the pattern of the icing

but I think I need to simplify it

considering "mass-produce".

先日紹介した生クリームをのせてみました。

リアルのカップケーキはアイシングの絞り模様が

これくらい強烈に見えるものですが

これだとアイシングの絞り模様と

生クリームの絞り模様が

少々くどく見えてしまいます。

やはりまだ改良の余地ありです。

Amigurumi whipped cream I introduced the other day

on top of cupcake.

The real cupcake icing shows very visible pattern

like this, but I think with this whipped cream

with strong pattern, the cupcake doesn't look

good, is a bit "overwhelmed".

I need to simplify the icing anyway.

編みぐるみ 生クリーム Amigurumi Whipped Cream

ちょっと前にかぎ編みで作る生クリームの

開発をちまちまとしていました。

I had been working for crochet

"Whippred Cream" a while ago.

生クリームの絞り模様がくっきり出るように

編み方を少しずつ変えてみたりしました。

I tried all sorts of stitches

in order to make the pattern of the pastry bag tip

more visible.

ずっと同じ色で編んでると飽きるので

違う色にしてみたりしました。

I changed colors once in a while

since keep using same color

made me very bored.

最初の目数が違うとこういう違いが

でてきました。

These have all different numbers of

starting stitches in a loop.

生クリームの絞り模様を際立たせようとした結果

生クリームではなくニンニクみたいに

なってしまいました（左端）。

I tried to make the pattern of the cream

more clear and it ended up looking like

a garlic (the left most).

久しぶりの投稿です。

５本棒針をちまちまと集めました。

このシリーズは編みやすくて気に入っています。

It has been a while since the last post, again.

I have been collecting these 5set knitting needles.

I like this series as they are very comfortable to use.

またしてもレッグウォーマーを編んでいます。

今回のは模様編みの連続なので難しく

なかなか進みません。

It just takes time since they require

many types of knitting techniques.

アキラ君の足指を作っています。

親指が難しいです。

Now I'm working for Akira's toe fingers.

It is very difficult to make the big toe.

最近棒編みも始めました。

棒編みって結構道具が必要なのですね。

I started knitting recently.

I didn't know that I need quite lots of tools for knitting.

早速レッグウォーマーを編んでみました。

編み目の綺麗さではかぎ針よりも棒編みですね。

そのうち人形のセーターとかカーディガンとか

編めるようになりたいです。

そして靴下とかブルガリアスカートとかも！

I started knitting this 2-color leg warmers.

I really like the beauty of the stitch.

I think it is better than the one of crochet.

I hope I will be able to knit my dolls' sweaters and cardigans someday.

Ultimately socks with complex patterns and Bulgaria skirt, too!

時間がある時にかぎ針のドミノ編みモチーフを

コツコツと作り溜めています。

シンプルなブランケットを作りたいのです。

かなりの数編まないといけないので

完成がいつになるか分かりませんが

ゆっくり楽しんで編み上げたいと思います。

今はもうこの箱が一杯になっています。

I am making crochet domino motif

whenever I have time to crochet.

I'd like to make a simple blanket with these motif.

I need to crochet tons of them in order to

make a blanket.

I don't know when I can finish this

but I'd like to enjoy the work.

I already filled this box with motif.

エコたわし 葡萄 Dishcloth Grape

久しぶりにエコたわしを編んでみました。葡萄です。無料で公開されている編み図で作りました。
I made the dishcloth with acrylic yarn after a long interval. It's a grape. Free crochet pattern I found on the internet on the other day.

立体的で本物の葡萄のように見えますが、実は平面です（でこぼこしてますけど）。画像は裏面です。
It looks solid real grape, I mean three-dimentional, but it is actually flat as you can see. The picture above is the reverse side of the grape.

うさぎの赤ちゃんの背中に背負わせると、亀の甲羅のように見えます。葡萄仙人です。
It looks like a turtle-shell on the back of the baby bunny.

かぎ編み 十字架のモチーフおくるみ Crochet cross motif baby blanket

ハートのモチーフのおくるみが分厚すぎてうさぎの赤ちゃんのおくるみに適さなかったので編み直しました。今度はお気に入りの十字架のモチーフを繋げてみました。青と白の毛糸でとても爽やかで柔らかいです。
I made the baby blanket for the baby bunny over again since the heart motif one was too thick for the baby blanket. This time, with my favorite cross motif. It looks so fresh with blue and white yarn and is very soft.

早速包んでみました。モチーフの隙間が結構大きくておくるみには適さない気がしなくもないですが、大きさはちょうどいいようですので、これに包んで送ることにします。
So, I wrapped it around the baby bunny. The openings in the motif are kind of large and it might not be good for the baby blanket but overall size is just about it so I will send this with bunny to my friend.

かぎ編み ハートのモチーフ Heart motif crochet

アキラ君のボディ作りの合間にかぎ編みのハートモチーフを作りました。チョコレート色とキャラメル色をハートにし、縁取りはクリームみたいなので、ミントグリーン・コーヒー色・苺ピンク・ミルク色にしてみました。ハートの中にスマイル顔があるみたいで可愛いのです（左上に顔を描いてみました）。
I made this heart motif crochet small blanket while I am working on Akira-kun's body. I used chocolate and caramel color for the heart and since its edge looks like a cream decoration, I used mint green, coffee, strawberry pink, and milk color for it. It seems there is a smile face inside of the heart (I draw a face on the upper left one).

日本にいる友達に送ることにした赤ちゃんうさぎのおくるみにしたかったのです。でも使った毛糸がアクリル毛糸で肌触りがゴワッとしてるので、一緒に送るかどうか悩んでいます。
I decided to send this baby bunny to my friend in Japan so I wanted to make it a baby blanket for the bunny. But I used acrylic yarns and it feels tough lol, not for baby, so I am now thinking whether I should send this or not.

それになんだか裏面の方がシンプルで可愛いような気もしてきたのです。。。
And I somehow noticed that the back of the motif looks prettier...

可愛くないですか？
Isn't it?

でもやっぱり表のハートも可愛いなぁ。リバーシブルということにすればいいかな？
Hmm, but the front heart motif is cute too. Let's say, it's reversible.

Crochet donut pattern

Here is crochet donut pattern. Click the image to enlarge.


If you would like some toppings on the donut, add them before you stitch the edge together.

Each round start with making 1 chain stitch and end with joining with slip stitch in the 1st chain. You might think these extra steps are pain but these will help to equal the height of the round. It means you can make clean stripe pattern.

1/6サイズの帽子 バービー用

今日の画像はバービー用のとんがり帽子です。この前ジェニー用に作ったものがバービーには大きすぎたので、バービーにぴったりサイズを編んでみました。

同じ１／６サイズの人形でも、各パーツの大きさがかなり異なるようです。今回編んだ帽子はサイズが違うだけでデザインは前回のと同じです。頭のてっぺんがとんがってて、耳あてがついていて、三つ編みの紐で結んで固定出来るタイプです。それだけだと寂しいので小さいボタンを２個つけてみました。これだけでかなり可愛さアップするんではないかと思っています。

１／６サイズ とんがり帽子

今日の画像はお友達からリクエストのあった１／６サイズのとんがり帽子です。頭のてっぺんがとんがりです。

かぎ編みを広めてきて、ドーナツとかエコたわしとかの編み方を伝授してきたのですが、今回はジェニー等のお人形さん用の帽子を編んでみたいとリクエストがありました。どういう帽子なの？と聞くと、こういうの、と絵を描いてくれました。それが今回のとんがり帽子です。エコたわし等で円に編む方法が分かったので、それを利用して帽子を作りたいんだけど、耳の部分をどうしていいか分からない、とのことでした。確かにちょっと難しいですね。

耳部分は帽子部分が編み終わったら所定の位置に編み足していくと出来ます。最後に三つ編みを作って完成。とんがり部分は「わ」の目数を少なめにして強調します。

で、お友達が作ったのを見たのですが、なんとその方はジェニーではなくバービーにかぶせていました。バービーはジェニーよりも頭周りが小さいのでブカブカに。ということで、次はバービーサイズのとんがり帽子の編み方を教えることになったのでした。

エコたわし レモン オレンジ

今日の画像は久しぶりにエコたわしです。エコたわしは結構色んな種類を作っていますが、あまり紹介していませんでした。レモンとオレンジのエコたわしです。

どちらもリクエストがあって作ってみました。レモンは比較的簡単だったのですが、オレンジにはかなり苦労しました。オレンジは輪切りでってことで、特徴があって簡単そうなのに、実は細かいところが難しかったです。何個も試作品を作り、最終的にこれで、というのが画像のものです。オレンジの実の部分ってオレンジ色なんですよね。でも皮と同じ色にしない方がいいかもしれないと、画像を見て思いました。微妙に違うオレンジ色の毛糸を探してこなければ。

レモンはレモン色とちょっとオレンジ色の強い黄色で作ってみましたが、こちらはとても爽やかで満足のいく仕上がりになりました。オレンジは編んだ後に房の刺繍をしたりしないといけないので、ちょっと手間がかかりますね。

ハートとうさぎのストラップとセバスチャン

画像はストラップのハートとうさぎ、それとうちのうさぎのセバスチャンです。

ミニドーナツのストラップを作ってから、他にも色々ストラップを作りました。ハートのストラップはちょっと作ってみたかったのです。アクリル毛糸のちょっと太いので編んだので大きくなりました。ビーズをつけてアクセントにしてみました。

うさぎのストラップ、これはうちにいる兎のセバスチャンをペットショップで見てから作りました。去年のクリスマス前、１１月頃でしょうか、セバスチャンはペットショップにいました。もうその頃にはちょっと大きかったのですが、それからずっと売れ残っていて、あまりにずっといるので心配になり、しょっちゅう通って様子を見ていました。クリスマスにはさすがに売れるだろうと思ったけど売れず。お正月には絶対売れるだろうと思ったけど売れず。バレンタインには売れてるに決まってると思ったけど売れず。その間にもセバスチャンはどんどん大きくなっていましたし、見に行くたびにやさぐれた表情になっていきました。私の誕生日まで残っていたら連れて帰ろうと決め（誕生日は３月の中頃です）、誕生日に「これでいなかったら笑いものだな！」なんて思いながら行くとまだいました（笑）。で、つれて帰ってきました。ストラップはそんな４〜５ヶ月の間にセバスチャンを気にするあまり作ったものです。

クリスマス前には他にも２匹兎がペットショップに入りまして、そのうちの１匹は垂れ耳の人なつこい可愛い子で愛嬌がありまくりました。もう１匹は人見知りでじっとして怖がっていましたが、白い毛皮に目の周りにアイラインをひいたような美形でした。その２匹はクリスマスには売れていました。垂れ耳の子とセバスチャンの仲が悪いらしく、お互いに警戒しあってるというか、馬鹿にしあってるというか、妙に面白い光景でした。垂れ耳ちゃんと人見知り君と勝手に名付け、その２匹もストラップにしてみました。茶色のブチが垂れ耳ちゃん、白いのが人見知り君です。ついでにセバスチャンの青い目バージョンも作ってみました。

で、本物のセバスチャンが最後の写真です。物陰からひょっこり顔を出してこっちを見ています。とても人なつこい子で、毎日お部屋の中を走り回り、廊下をパトロールし、美味しいご飯をたくさん食べ、来てから１ヶ月経ちましたが、ペットショップにいた頃のやさぐれた表情はすっかり抜け、可愛い甘えん坊な顔になりました。
